Senior Accountability Advisor

Te tūranga – The role

We are looking for a proactive high performer to lead key workstreams, working within our small, tight knit Accountability team.

This role would suit a quick learner with an interest in the machinery of Government, the public sector, and the role of central banks in our economy and financial system. Experience working with strategy and performance frameworks would be beneficial but not essential.

The purpose of this role is to:

  • collaborate with leaders across the Reserve Bank in the development and publication of Te Pūtea Matua’s Corporate Accountability Documents;

  • lead interactions with our monitor and other external stakeholders, on performance reporting and the Reserve Bank’s mandate more broadly;

  • work with the wider directorate on strategy development and insights, and implementing targeted change.

We’re looking for a collaborative worker, who can work to deadlines effectively. To be successful in this role:

  • Proven experience developing Corporate Accountability Documents, performance measurement and reporting, and working closely with an agency monitor, is desirable

  • Experience in influencing and collaborating, identifying and engaging key audiences, and implementing strategies to achieve required decisions and actions

  • Sound judgement and the ability to think analytically across a broad range of issues

  • Demonstrates knowledge and application of Te Tiriti o Waitangi

  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain the appropriate level of NZ National Security Clearance as needed
