Semiconductor Process Engineer, Metrology

As a Photomask Metrology Engineer at MTC, you are responsible to monitor, maintain and improve reticle CD, Registration, and Phase measurement as well as Blank inspection processes. You will work with the rest of the metrology engineering team, as well as the manufacturing and sustaining engineering team to define opportunities for improvement and investigate and implement comprehensive long-term solutions. 


Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•    Monitor tool health and respond to trends and out of spec tool and process conditions
•    Research, develop and implement new metrology and blank inspection processes and techniques to support Microns reticle roadmap
•    Engage with equipment suppliers to evaluate and qualify next-generation metrology and blank inspection tools and improve capabilities of current systems
•    Identify opportunities to improve metrology and blank inspection processes and suggest projects to close these gaps
•    Ensure accuracy and consistency of product metrology results, implement process improvements to remove sources of variation wherever possible
•    Provide expert insight into tool and process capabilities, advise other teams on most appropriate techniques for data collection depending on the test requirements
•    Collaborate with other engineering teams in R&D and high-volume manufacturing (HVM) to support their metrology needs through recipe creation and data analysis
•    Mentor and train manufacturing personnel and other engineers

Qualifications:

•    Minimum 2 years’ experience in semiconductor or reticle fab, experience in metrology, photo area preferred
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•    Ability to work with limited guidance 
•    Good understanding of electron microscope physics is preferred

Education Requirements:
•    B.S. or higher degree in Engineering field, Physics or Mathematics
