Your Role: Selling Effectiveness & Leadership Advisor

The USPH Selling Effectiveness & Leadership Advisor is a recognized subject matter expert responsible for applying broad expertise and knowledge in sales excellence and training. This role will elevate selling skills and optimize territory execution for customer-facing sales teams, driving significant sales results through the establishment and leadership of effective programs and innovative training solutions. 

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Execute Sales Training Strategy: Establish and lead operational plans for the selling skills training function, setting the strategic direction for sales force excellence. Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for field training and ensure alignment with business priorities.

  • Design and Deliver Training Programs: Build comprehensive training journeys and curricula (foundational through advanced) for all S-path and CDS roles. Develop advanced sales training content, workshops, and product launch training based on field assessments, focus groups, and stakeholder input.

  • Manage Field Training and Coaching Programs: Lead and evaluate the District Sales Trainer (DST) program, manage Field Sales Trainers, conduct field rides, and complete coaching evaluations to strengthen execution in the field. Provide ongoing feedback and performance assessments to drive continuous improvement.

  • Leverage Innovation and Advanced Tools: Apply innovative thinking and advanced information, including AI-enabled selling and coaching solutions, to enhance competencies across the organization. Translate insights into actionable programs that elevate selling skills and field execution effectiveness.

  • Collaborate and Influence Across Functions: Partner with District Managers, Sales Force Effectiveness (SFE) Advisors, and cross-functional stakeholders to design customer event processes, reporting needs, and evaluation KPIs centered on ROI. Develop materials for National Business Meetings and annual district meetings, persuading and aligning executive leadership and diverse audiences.

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):

  • Education: ·Bachelor's degree in business or related field

  • Experience: Over 10 years of veterinary customer sales experience, including 3+ years managing direct reports and 2+ years designing and delivering pharmaceutical training for customer-facing roles.

  • Demonstrated proven performer with consistent sales ranking in top 20% of field teams

  • Strong understanding of Customer Value Selling sales processes, brand management and marketing principles

  • Technical Proficiency: Experienced in Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Abilities: Adept at assessing complex situations, identifying solutions, and driving results.

  • Organizational Excellence: Skilled in managing multiple priorities, meeting deadlines, and delivering high-quality outcomes under pressure.

Additional Information:

  • Travel: Up to 50%

  • Location: Remote (The ideal candidate will be available to work standard business hours aligned with the Eastern Time Zone.)

Elanco currently anticipates that the base salary for this position could range from $144,000.00 to $200,000.00 depending partly on the successful candidate’s qualifications, including education and experience. Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending partly on company and individual performance). Additionally, Elanco offers a comprehensive benefit program to eligible employees that includes a company-matching 401(k); vacation benefits; eligibility for medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug benefits; flexible benefits (e.g., healthcare and/or dependent day care flexible spending accounts); life insurance and death ­benefits; certain time off and leave of absence benefits; and well-being benefits (e.g., employee assistance program, fitness benefits, and employee clubs and activities). Of course, the compensation is subject to change and could be higher or lower than the range described above.
