The Role

The Security Supervisor provides oversight and supervision to the Security Sub Contractor personnel and shift leads, and is responsible for implementing, maintaining, and updating security policies, programs and procedures designed to protect the physical assets of Coliseo de Puerto Rico (CPR), and to provide a safe and secure environment for all CPR guests, tenants, employees, vendors, and contractors.

ESSENTIAL DUTES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist the Security Manager responding to all security needs and calls for services & safety related calls in a timely manner, work Security and local law enforcement as necessary.
  • Assist the Security Manager in the evaluation and supervision of the Security Sub-Contractor personnel in accordance with the ASM Security Department’s philosophy and policies.
  • Review existing policies and measures and update according to City and Corporate regulations.
  • Initiate and organize OSHA and safety trainings of employees and associates.
  • Work with operations leadership to address and resolve issues to determine if escalation is needed.
  • Oversee the schedule management of the Security Sub Contractor officers and supervisors, including 24-hour Security staff and event Security staff.
  • Enforce and uphold integrity of CPR’s property and facilities during events and on a continuous 24-hour basis.
  • Write reports; report any malfunctions, misconduct, or operational and safety issues. Interview victims and witnesses; write incident reports as necessary.
  • Support our EMT Sub Contractor during emergencies.
  • Ensure and maintain a safe and healthy work environment for all employees and customers.
  • Proactive enforcement of CPR policies and procedures and ensure timely response and follow up to violations and complaints from guests, clients. and employees according to established policies and procedures.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of public safety plans for day-to-day operations and special events
  • Follow all rules and regulations as outlined in the policies and procedures manual and ensure compliance by Security personnel.   Responsible for the control of the building Keys and Key log control
  • Assure property is secure and that no damage occurs due to visitor negligence or vandalism.
  • Assist monitoring the proper functioning of the security systems such as CCTV, Fire Control, radio communications equipment, elevators, and lighting controls.  Aid in direction of orderly evacuation of building
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Legends policies and applicable laws, interview, hire, and train employees.
  • Supervise Security Sub-Contractor personnel. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with ASM Global policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
  • Plan, assign, and manages work; process and conduct performance appraisals.
  • Address complaints and resolve problems, discipline employees in conjunction with Human Resources.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint. (In order to submit required reporting)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Position requires physical ability to move about large facilities, including walking, bending, crouching, reaching, grabbing, climbing and/or standing for prolonged periods.
  • May be required to work both indoors and outdoors as required by the function.
  • Position requires being exposed to high noise levels during concerts and other events.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and holidays in addition to normal business hours based on event schedule.
