Security Report Writer

ROLE EXPECTATIONS

Responsibilities include, but are not limited, to the following:

  • Respond to calls for service to gather all pertinent information related to the creation of a report.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, solution-oriented approach
  • Be able to effectively communicate with Members of Security and Management.
  • Provide assistance to civil and law enforcement authorities, including testimony in court and other administrative hearings.
  • Makes chip fills, jackpot verifications.
  • Maintains accurate and detailed logs and records of security incidents.
  • Regularly provide escorts of money and people in money-handling positions.
  • Provides first aid, including CPR when necessary.
  • Patrols all sections of property to identify safety hazards and areas of vulnerability.
  • Interviews, investigate and document all applicable incidents in accordance with company policy.
  • Assist with Lost and Found Inquiries
  • Receives incoming security calls (Via two-way radio, telephone and in person) from employees and guests.
  • Report Writers may be required to call previous guests to gather information via telephonic report.
  • Enforces all company policies and procedures.
  • Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies
  • Be in an assigned area by designated time, with company issued equipment, ready to work.
  • Report Writers, like all other Security Personnel, will interact with guests and employees in a positive manner.       
  • Understand and perform duties of assignment.
  • Respond quickly and courteously to patrons’ needs, questions, comments, or concerns with answers and/or action.
  • Submit assigned reports as directed.
  • Other job related duties

  • Advanced computer skills, with an aptitude to learn new systems and procedures
  • Knowledge of incident management systems
  • Must regularly lift and/move up to 10 - 20 pounds, and must have the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces
  • Must be able sit for extended periods of time

PREFERRED

  • Previous experience working in a similar resort setting

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Must be able to qualify for licenses and permits required by federal, state and local regulations.
