Overview of Opportunity 

Join our Security Operations team, where we focus on protecting corporate equities and managing operational risk. We are seeking one intern for this 12-week internship program, which will be conducted onsite in Arlington, VA.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze existing security workflows to create comprehensive process maps that identify key stakeholders, decision points, and potential bottlenecks. 
  • Utilize Microsoft tools and web-based mapping applications to create comprehensive visual representations of security workflows.
  • Develop and maintain continuity references and "how-to" guides for critical security operations to ensure seamless transitions and operational resilience.
  • Work closely with members of the security team to gather information and validate the accuracy of process maps and continuity reference materials.
  • Assist in updating essential security documentation to ensure alignment with current government regulations and internal policies.
  • Identify areas where documentation and/or processes is/are lacking or outdated and propose improvements to mitigate operational risk.
  • Support the Information Security team in servicing customer requests and audits.
  • Collaborate with the security team on various security projects.
  • Present an end-of-internship project that highlights your contributions.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Security Management, Risk Management, Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, Intelligence Studies, or a related field.
  • Rising Juniors or Seniors are strongly preferred.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required due to the nature of our work.
  • Ability to work onsite at our Arlington, VA office 5 days a week.

Skills & Experience (Preferred Exposure to One or More of the Following):

  • Advanced experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Visio to develop and format complex documentation, process maps, and presentations.
  • Exceptional technical writing skills and the ability to synthesize complex information from various sources into clear, concise, and professional documents.
  • Comfort navigating and utilizing various web-based platforms for research, documentation management, and operational support.
  • Strong attention to detail and proofreading and editing skills to ensure all security documentation are accurate and professional.
  • Excellent customer service attitude and willingness to support security challenges in a fast-paced environment.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have eligibility to obtain a U.S. security clearance.

 

The projected pay range listed for this position is a general guideline and not a guarantee of rate.
