About the role
MSS Security is looking for a Full Time Security Officer to work at our client site located in Blackwater. This is an access control role, primarily responsible for managing entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and ensuring only authorised personnel and visitors are granted access. You will also be required to monitor site activity, maintain accurate records, provide a high level of customer service, and respond to any security incidents in line with site procedures.

Candidates must reside within 1 hour of Blackwater to be considered for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain focus and observe the activities associated with asset protection
• Monitor CCTV systems and radio communications
• Control site access, verify IDs, and ensure only authorised personnel are permitted entry
• Respond to emergencies, manage incidents, and complete incident reports as required
• Provide professional customer service and conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols

What we are looking for

• Full Australian working rights
• Valid QLD Security License (control room endorsement required or willingness to obtain)
• Valid QLD Drivers License
• Available to work on a 7 day rotating roster
• Demonstrated experience in Security roles in a high surveillance environment - Industrial security operations will be highly regarded
• Excellent communications skills - written and verbal
