About the role

This fast paced and interesting role, that offers you the opportunity to utilise your experience in Defence and contribute positively to the safety and security of all personnel on base in Townsville. As a Security Officer you will be responsible for providing customer service of the highest quality through your proactive, professional and sound approach. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Concierge / commercial building security
• Access control and monitor CCTV
• Respond professionally, courteously and promptly to all customer enquiries
• Direct and escort visitors to site
• Visitors sign in/induction and maintain key registers and issue keys

Skills & experience

• Certificate II in Security Operations
• Security licence
• Previous experience in a customer facing role
• Experience in security operations (ideal, but not necessary)
• Positive attitude, great communication skills, willingness to learn and adapt
• Australian Citizenship required; Baseline clearance (or the ability to obtain)
• Australian Defence force experience is desirable
