Job Description Summary

POSITION SUMMARY

Under the supervision of the Security Director, provide for the safety and protection of the building and premises by controlling access points, patrolling the site, monitoring activities, and otherwise proactively preventing theft, illegal or unauthorized entry, vandalism, and violence.

Job Description

  •  Responsible for safety and security of Buildings 
  • Incident Investigation of any major occurrence related to security and safety
  •  Coordination with. Law enforcement arms.
  •  Traffic Management within buildings surrounding areas
  •  Checks of unauthorized parking.
  •  Audit of DMDRP on a weekly basis if available in premises
  •  Training of FSOs, supervisors, guards on weekly and daily basis.
  •  Briefing of SOPs to FSOs, supervisors, guards.
  •  Carried out routine check of security equipment.
  •  Upkeep of CCTV camera on 24X7 bases.
  •  Audit of security documents and registers.
  •  Audit of lost and found.
  •  First to react in case of any emergency in any building.
  •  Threat analysis of buildings on daily basis.
  •  Training and briefing of QRT and Traffic Marshalls.
  •  Participating in emergency exercises.
  •  Request that all incidents are investigated promptly and take appropriate steps for preventing recurrence.
  •  Spread safety procedures & safety awareness across down team.
  • Roles, Responsibilities, Authority, and Accountability (RRAA) in relation to OH&S (Occupational Health and Safety)
  • Roles in OH&S: To ensure a secure, hazard-free environment in and around the building premises by implementing OH&S practices, managing security personnel, and coordinating emergency preparedness and incident response in accordance with DLF Safety Management Systems.

  • Responsibilities:
  •  Ensure DLF HSE Policy is understood, implemented, and complied with by self and the entire security team.  Execute and communicate DLF Safety Standards, SOPs, Engineering Guidelines (EGs), and other OH&S procedures across all security operations.  Proactively identify and assess safety and security risks (including threat analysis and traffic hazards) and implement control measures.  Conduct regular training, briefings, and drills for Fire & Safety Officers (FSOs), guards, QRTs, and Traffic Marshalls as per TNI and SOPs.  Investigate all incidents (safety and security-related) promptly, ensure they are reported, and implement preventive measures as per IISC procedures.  Conduct audits of security registers, DMDRP documents, lost & found logs, and CCTV systems. Maintain records as per OH&S requirements.  Act as the first responder in emergencies and participate in all mock drills and emergency preparedness exercises.  Promote safety awareness, enforce procedures, and foster a culture of vigilance and safety throughout the site.  Oversee traffic management, prevent unauthorized parking, and ensure safety in high-traffic zones.
  • Authority:
  •  To stop any unsafe or unauthorized act within the premises.  To enforce the implementation of SOPs and OH&S practices among all contracted and in-house staff.  To coordinate with law enforcement authorities when required.  To escalate safety or security risks to management or emergency services.  To schedule and conduct training and initiate disciplinary actions in case of non compliance.
  • Accountability:
  •  Accountable for ensuring that security operations are carried out in line with the DLF Safety Management System.  Responsible for incident reporting, response coordination, and preventive action implementation.  Accountable for training and operational readiness of security personnel.  Responsible for maintaining functional security equipment (e.g., CCTV) and proper documentation.  Accountable for ensuring that risk assessments and threat analyses are performed regularly and effectively communicated.
