About the Role:
MSS Security is looking for Security Officers to join our team at a hospital in Parkville. This role involves working across multiple areas of the hospital, including patrols, the control room, and high-risk wards. We are seeking candidates with prior hospital security experience who can operate confidently in a fast-paced, high-responsibility environment, while maintaining the safety and well-being of patients, visitors, and staff. This role requires flexibility and availability to work across a 24/7 rotating roster.
This position offers a Level 4 pay rate of $28.86 per hour, plus super and shift penalties where applicable.
Duties included but are not limited to:
Conduct internal and external patrols of hospital grounds, buildings, and high-risk wards to ensure security and safety.
Monitor CCTV footage, investigate incidents as required, and respond promptly to alarm panels and duress devices, ensuring accurate reporting of all events.
Manage access control and verify the identification of all individuals entering hospital premises.
Ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of patients, visitors, and staff, including de-escalating volatile situations.
Deliver exceptional customer service to staff, patients, and visitors, ensuring a positive and supportive experience.
Requirements:
Full Australian Working Rights
Victorian Security License with the control room operator subcategory
Certificate II in Security Operations (Or higher)
Employee Working with Children’s Check (Or willing to obtain)
Drivers License
First Aid & CPR
2 Covid-19 vaccinations along with 1 booster, and seasonal influenza vaccinations required
Experience working in security within a hospital or healthcare facility
24*7 Availability
