Role
The Site Security Manager is responsible for leading, coordinating, and enhancing all physical security operations for the company’s Italian site(s). This includes the protection of personnel, facilities, intellectual property, and mission‑critical assets. The role involves managing security systems, supervising security personnel, partnering with law‑enforcement agencies, and supporting regional multi‑site operations. The manager ensures compliance with corporate security standards as well as Italian regulatory requirements.
This position reports to the Israel Senior Security Manager, and is based in Rehovot, Israel. The role requires travel up to 10%.
Program Components Include
- Lead security operations for the Italian site, ensuring operational excellence and regulatory compliance.
- Supervise, train, and qualify security personnel, including vendor teams and contracted guards.
- Maintain security systems such as Access Control, CCTV, intrusion detection and related technologies.
- Conduct sensitive investigations and implement improvements to investigative procedures.
- Serve as primary liaison with Italian law enforcement, emergency services, and contracted security providers.
- Lead preparedness activities and participate in emergency response processes
Key Responsibilities
Security Workforce Leadership
- Manage physical security teams, including vendor operations.
- Guide, supervise, and develop security staff, including training and qualification processes.
- Lead risk identification, site assessments, inspections, and audit programs.
- Take part in emergency readiness planning and response execution, including drills and incident reviews.
- Maintain strong liaison with Italian law‑enforcement agencies and regulatory authorities, as well as external contractors and security professionals.
- Conduct sensitive, wide‑scope security investigations at the site or corporate level.
- Provide guidance and operational support to other security personnel engaged in investigations.
- Develop, update, and communicate corporate investigative procedures and processes.
- Establish, manage, and maintain security systems including Access Control, CCTV, alarm systems, and monitoring platforms.
- Ensure system performance, reliability, lifecycle upgrades and vendor support.
- Protect the organization’s physical and intellectual assets through proactive oversight and strict policy enforcement.
- Manage security guards, shift leaders, and supervisors
- Train, certify, and evaluate staff
- Conduct field inspections, drills, training sessions, and operational reviews
- Ensure high‑quality service delivery across all shifts
Skills, Knowledge, Experience & Education
The ideal candidate will have the following:
Strong command of physical security technologies (CCTV, access control, perimeter systems, alarms and more)
- Demonstrates strong conceptual and practical expertise in physical security operations.
- Experience operating and managing 24/7 security teams
- Familiarity with physical security standards and operational protocols
- Strong decision‑making capability under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Italian and English – Must
- 3–7 years in physical security, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Experience managing guard forces, control rooms, security operations
- Proven experience handling physical incidents and producing professional reports
- Experience in industrial or multi‑site environments – advantage
- Security‑related training or certifications – advantage
- Bachelor’s degree – preferred but not required
- Ability to work with technical documentation in English
