As the Security Investigator you will work to investigate policy infractions, crimes, and questionable behavior through in-person surveillance, investigative interviews, and use of a variety of technologies including cameras and register systems. You will also:
- Patrol revenue facilities (shops, food, admissions) to observe employee behavior
- Investigate thefts, ticket and credit card frauds, counterfeits, and any other potential criminal activity internally and externally
- Provide timely and complete follow-up of reported incidents
- Patrol merchandise facilities to observe shoplifting activity and make successful prosecutable cases
- Set-up and review video as needed
- Handle general office maintenance and special assignments
- Provide report writing, civil recovery, investigative research, and documentation
- Testify in court and provide depositions as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
What it takes to succeed:
- Familiarity with the Criminal Justice System as well as Local Ordinances and State Laws
- American Red Cross CPR/AED and First Aid certification or must be able to pass all requirements to obtain certification in these courses
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with high aptitude for computer software systems
- A passion for customer service
- Excellent multi-tasking and time management skills
- Outstanding communication abilities
- Active listener with the ability to anticipate guests’ needs
- Ability to promote and ensure a safe and secure environment
- Flexibility to perform varied duties
What else is important:
- At least 21 years of age
- A valid driver’s license
- Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 50 lbs
- Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift
- Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing)
- Perform cleaning duties, including use of cleaning chemicals
- Must be willing to comply with all SEA grooming guidelines and employment standards
- Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat and cold
- Must provide flexible, consistent availability (including nights, weekends and holidays) and adhere to our Holiday and Availability agreement
- Consistently practice safe work habits including the use of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) and reporting unsafe situations
- Ability to successfully complete all legal, company and department training requirements within established timelines
