Iron Mountain is seeking a motivated and tech-savvy Secure IT Asset Lifecycle Management Intern to join our Operations team in Phoenix, AZ. This internship is part of a structured program designed to build future operations managers in our high-growth Asset Lifecycle Management (ALM) business, which focuses on the circular economy and safeguarding customer data.
In this role, you will be responsible for participating in a hands-on, structured rotational program across critical warehouse and ALM functions. This experience will provide on-the-job training in secure data handling, technical logistics, and sustainable asset disposition, directly supporting our digital growth aspirations.
You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of punctuality and professionalism while working hands-on in an industrial warehouse environment to support the lifecycle of critical IT assets
In this role, you will:
Lead small projects and actively participate in at least two different operational rotations (e.g., Decommissioning, Data Sanitization, Warehouse Logistics) to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end ALM process and its key outputs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Technical Operations, Compliance, and Inventory Management, to achieve efficient and secure processing of high-value IT assets like servers, laptops, and hard drives.
Ensure compliance with Iron Mountain's strict security protocols and data destruction policies to uphold the utmost safeguarding of customer and organizational data during the entire lifecycle management process.
Digital Growth: Work with internal Iron Mountain teams to implement operational improvements and contribute directly to our strategic digital growth aspirations.
Execute daily operational tasks across various departments, including shipping, receiving, sorting, and triage, to ensure compliance with client instructions and serialization orders
Ensure compliance with safety and auditing standards by gaining ground-level experience with inventory and facility requirements.
The ideal candidate will have:
Current enrollment in a BS, BA, or Associate's degree program, preferably in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or Business Management.
Proven ability in problem-solving and following structured processes, with a commitment to maintaining a consistent work week schedule during the semester.
