Electromac Tool, a division Cleveland-Cliffs Tooling and Stamping, has an immediate opportunity for a Section Manager Operations in our Windsor, Ontario Tool Build Facility. The Section Manager Operations is responsible for ensuring tooling meets process expectations. The ideal candidate will have previous maintenance experience, be detail-oriented and self-motivated, and thrive in a fast-paced work environment. Summary of Responsibilities:
Responsible for the planning, organizing, directing and management of the maintenance function to ensure productions goals are met adequately and in a timely manner
Provide leadership to teams ensuring employees performing maintenance activities are trained and qualified to perform them.
Ensure that appropriate optimum technology, equipment, and methodology are employed.
Monitor expenditures versus plan and manage accordingly
Ensure effective implementation of maintenance and preventative maintenance programs and schedules.
Continuously seek out and identify opportunities for improvement in costs, quality, customer service, health and safety and plant operations
Establish appropriate, timely reporting system setting out progress against objectives, with follow-up action steps where necessary
Maintains computerized maintenance management system for tracking work orders, spare parts, and maintenance history of plant equipment
Maintain preventative maintenance schedule for all assets
Manage inventory of required parts and liaison with the purchaser to ensure the appropriate levels are maintained
Ensure the proper training is completed prior to the assignment of any tasks
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of technical and mechanical trades experience in a high paced manufacturing field or equivalent amount of engineering (civil / electrical / mechanical / industrial) experience
Exhibits strong leadership qualities and possesses well-developed analytical and communication skills (verbal and written)
Preffered Requirements:
Experience with management of multi-trade divisional maintenance staff or outside contractors to achieve timely completion of tasks
The salary range for this role is $105,000 – $135,000. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on numerous factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, geographic location and business or organizational needs.
