THE JOB:

As a Security Officer, you will act as a visual deterrent, intervene, and respond to all levels of security and potential emergency needs, including acts or threats of violence, emergencies, and life safety threats. 


THE STARTING RATE: $20.00

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Patrol and monitor all areas of the property, including the exterior, by operating a bicycle or company vehicle

  • Monitor alarm system and surveillance cameras

  • Provide excellent guest service to guests and employees, and resolve complaints and issues involving both guests and employees

  • Act as a first responder in emergency situations

  • Perform gaming drops/transactions, including carrying drop boxes and chip carriers

  • Write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as property damage, theft, guest or employee accidents, or unusual occurrences

  • Act as a dispatcher to relay information, messages, and/or emergencies to or from appropriate personnel using telephones or two-way radios

  • Render appropriate first aid to injured persons and follow established protocol for reporting injuries

  • Assist in emergency situations by securing the scene to prevent further loss or damage, advising personnel of threats and potential threats, summoning emergency responders to the incident, and initiating and conducting evacuation procedures

  • Required to successfully attend and pass all recurring mandatory legal, defensive tactics, first aid, CPR/AED training/drill as a condition of employment

  • Maintain proficiency in the use of all assigned equipment

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • One (1) year of customer service experience

  • High School diploma or GED

  • Previous security, military, or law enforcement experience

  • Previous experience working in a similar resort setting

  • Takes pride in their work

  • Looks forward to working with a team to provide positive experiences

  • Describes themselves as detail-oriented

  • Enjoys helping others and likes to make a good impression

  • Can handle multiple tasks at one time

This position is a seasonal opportunity, with the summer season running from May 1, 2025, through October 15, 2025. Please note that the end date may be subject to change depending on business needs.

This rate represents a good faith estimate of the wage rate that MGM reasonably expects to pay for the position upon hire.

 

Pay will not be below any applicable minimum wage.

Should overtime be worked, employees are paid overtime pay in accordance with state requirements.
