About the Job
We are going through massive, global Agile transformation. As a result, we are rapidly expanding our teams and are looking for an experienced Scrum master to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a team that is going from strength to strength, building and shaping our agile frameworks across our global teams.
Position Overview:
The Scrum Master will be responsible for supporting the successful, on-time and high-quality delivery of product development activities and internal technical operations initiatives for one or more agile teams. They will provide servant leadership and coaching to the team(s) they support to encourage adoption of agile principles and practices while empowering the team to grow towards becoming self-directed and self-managing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish, support and facilitate team level cadence and ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand up, retrospectives, backlog refinement, etc.
- Ensure the team adheres to Scrum practices and principles.
- Provide coaching and guidance to the team to support adoption of agile values, principles and practices.
- Provide coaching and support to Product Owner in maintaining and refining product backlog
- Support Product Owner in prioritization and forecasting of roadmap based on team velocity and stakeholder requests
- Support the team in establishing realistic and achievable delivery commitments while operating at a sustainable pace
- Remove impediments and protect the team from external distractions. Escalate in a timely manner as necessary
- Facilitate / support management of dependencies to ensure alignment of delivery
- Facilitate, encourage and support cross-team coordination and collaboration
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and high performance within the team.
- Act as a change agent and help to build and support a learning environment for continual growth/improvement
- Maintain metrics and data necessary to provide visibility/assessment on team maturity, progress, quality and value to stakeholders
- Participate in and contribute to internal agile communities of practices and/or Scrum Master Forums
Required Experience / Qualifications:
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification.
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master in an Agile environment.
- Strong knowledge of Scrum practices and principles.
- Experience with SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) and understanding of its principles and practices.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills, able to work under deadlines in a changing environment, and ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to interact with executives, managers, subject matter experts, and product owners in matrix structure of product management team
- Solid conflict management skills
- Extensive knowledge of IT concepts, strategies, methodologies, architectures and technical standards.
Desired Experience / Qualifications:
- Experience in software development or IT project management.
- Familiarity with Agile tools such as Jira, Trello, or similar.
- Certifications in Scrum or SAFe (e.g., SAFe Agilist, SAFe Scrum Master)
