Job Overview
The Scrum Master is responsible for maintaining and validating project scope, schedules, and delivery plans for moderately complex projects and programs. This role ensures adherence to IQVIA delivery standards, operational norms, compliance requirements, and established success metrics. The Scrum Master partners closely with Product Owners, stakeholders, and cross‑functional teams to drive predictable, high‑quality delivery using Agile practices within a regulated environment.
Essential Functions
- Maintains and validates the project scope, plans, and schedules for moderately complex projects and programs; ensures alignment with IQVIA delivery standards, operational norms, and compliance requirements.
- Facilitates Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, Retrospectives, and Daily Stand‑Ups for assigned teams and projects.
- Supports Product Owners in short‑term and long‑term release planning while maintaining a healthy and prioritized Product Backlog.
- Ensures clarity, understanding, and enforcement of the Definition of Done.
- Monitors identified risks to program or project success and communicates impacts to relevant stakeholders.
- Manages project delivery processes, scope, and costs for non‑complex projects under broad supervision; drives completion of assigned workstreams or programs.
- Manages stakeholder relationships and executes a structured communication plan.
- Supports organizational change by identifying project impacts, building awareness, and promoting adoption of new processes or solutions.
- Evaluates project outcomes against established success metrics; recommends improvements to processes, tools, or resources to enhance productivity and delivery quality.
- Shields the Scrum Team from distractions, bottlenecks, and external interference to maintain strong delivery focus.
- Delivers accurate and timely reporting, including team performance metrics, progress status, risks, and dependencies.
- Operates effectively within a regulated environment (e.g., healthcare, life sciences, pharma, data‑sensitive domains), ensuring compliance with applicable standards, documentation requirements, and audit readiness.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education, skills, and experience.
- Agile certification preferred (e.g., SAFe, Scaled Agile, CSM, PSM, or equivalent).
- Experience working with Agile teams, tools, and frameworks in a scaled enterprise environment preferred.
- Prior experience working in a regulated environment (e.g., healthcare, pharma, finance, insurance, life sciences, or similarly compliance‑driven sectors) strongly preferred.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, drive alignment, and ensure team accountability.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate compliance requirements, documentation standards, and controlled delivery environments.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $67,600.00 - $169,000.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
