Scrum Master

Ankara, Turkey Full time

We’re looking for a collaborative and servant-leader-minded Scrum Master to support our development teams, protect the integrity of the Scrum framework, and drive high-quality, efficient delivery across our projects. In this role, you’ll enable teams to perform at their highest level by removing impediments, fostering a safe and productive environment, and ensuring alignment with Agile and Scrum best practices.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Serve as a protector of the team, ensuring developers can focus on their work without distractions.

  • Act as the Scrum process owner, ensuring adherence to the Scrum framework and coaching the team and Product Owner on effective practices.

  • Remove impediments or guide the team toward identifying and resolving them.

  • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives).

  • Support the Product Owner by ensuring the product backlog is properly refined and ready for upcoming sprints.

  • Coach the team and organization on Agile/Scrum values, principles, and best practices to maximize customer satisfaction.

  • Foster a trusting and safe environment where issues can be raised openly without fear of blame or judgment.

  • Facilitate effective decision-making, conflict resolution, and productive team discussions.

  • Help the team reach higher levels of Scrum maturity at a sustainable and comfortable pace.

  • Improve transparency through internal and external communication and information-sharing.

  • Encourage self-organization within the team to fill gaps intentionally left in Agile/Scrum frameworks.

  • Report project status, deviations, or risks to leadership and recommend appropriate corrective actions.

  • Immediately escalate operational failures, time constraints, or extraordinary events that could impact project quality or timelines.

  • Ensure full understanding of project deliverables and assess the quality of outputs against documentation and specifications.

What We Look For

  • IT-related, scientific, or technical degree, or equivalent experience in a technology-focused environment.

  • First-level Scrum Master certification (PSM I, CSM).

  • At least one year serving as a Scrum Master or in a similar servant-leadership role for a software development team.

  • Strong understanding of servant leadership, facilitation, conflict resolution, continuous improvement, and transparency.

  • Experience using Agile techniques such as Epics, User Stories, Backlog management, Burndown charts, Velocity tracking, and Retrospective formats.

  • Ability to distinguish clearly between what is and isn’t part of the Scrum framework.

  • Experience with Agile practices (XP, Kanban, SAFe).

  • Experience in medical device development and related documentation is beneficial.

  • Excellent communication, coaching, and mentoring skills.

  • Strong situational awareness, problem-solving ability, and adaptability.

  • Fluent English (and German is a plus)
