[What you will be working on]
In this role, you will:
- Manage and maintain broodstocks to support the conduct of breeding programs for Asian seabass, red snapper and other identified species, and to ensure a consistent supply of superior eggs and larvae to industry
- Identify knowledge or technology gaps related to breeding and broodstock management and develop solutions to address the gaps, including conduct of relevant R&D projects
- Collaborate with research institutions and industry partners to advance genetic improvement programs
- Monitor and evaluate performance of broodstock populations including through conduct of field trials
- Provide technical support and training on fish and shrimp husbandry and aquaculture best practices to industry stakeholders
- Perform duties as required for the smooth operation of the Marine Aquaculture Centre
[What we are looking for]
Our requirements:
- Knowledge and experience in broodstock management and fish reproductive biology
- Experience with shrimp broodstock management and breeding is an advantage
- Proficiency in data analysis and research methodologies
- Prepared to work on weekends and after office hours when necessary
- Team player with good writing, communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work in the office, field or offshore environments
- Fresh graduates from related fields are welcome to apply
