Literature Review & Quality Appraisal
Conduct systematic searches for qualitative studies (1995–present), manage citations, and screen articles for inclusion.
Extract key data and apply quality appraisal tools (e.g., CASP) to evaluate methodological rigor.
Maintain detailed documentation of search strategies, screening decisions, and appraisal outcomes.
Synthesis & Conceptual Model Development
Analyze and synthesize findings across studies using advanced qualitative interpretation methods.
Identify patterns, themes, and relationships to build a new conceptual model addressing health and support experiences post-incarceration.
Document interpretive decisions and ensure rigor through reflexive notes and audit trails.
Team Collaboration & Reporting
Lead small team meetings, facilitate consensus on coding and interpretation, and provide progress updates.
Prepare deliverables including conceptual model diagrams, summary tables, and draft manuscript sections.
Organize project files, maintain version control, and ensure outputs align with qualitative reporting standards.

Required Qualifications
Work Experience
One year experience with research methods and literature review processes.
Once year experience supporting research projects or academic writing.
Education may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.

Compensation Statement:
The pay range listed for this position is determined by our compensation program using market data and salary benchmarking. A combination of factors is considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, education, experience and training, qualifications relative to the requirements of the position, and funding. At the University of Kansas Medical Center, a reasonable estimate for the starting pay range will be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range, taking into account the combination of factors listed above.
