The University of Miami/UHealth Department of SCCC has an exciting opportunity for a Full Time Outreach Specialist 1 to work at the UHealth campus in Miami, Fl.
CORE JOB SUMMARY
The Outreach Specialist 1 (H) supports in developing and implementing new and existing public education and outreach programs serving as a liaison to the community. Moreover, this position performs a wide variety of duties and demonstrates a high level of professionalism and effectiveness.
CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
Supports in the development and implementation of public education and outreach programs.
Works with community-based organizations to plan promotional educational and other events targeted towards designing an increased awareness in the community.
Aids with the preparation and distribution of public health education and navigation manuals.
Develops professional relationships with mental health providers, researchers, and community members.
Collaborates with other members of the team on special projects and events.
Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
