Hourly Rate:

AE-RA-Tuteur / TA-RA-Tutor : $31.89 ou/or $50.25 (2024-2025)

The academic year starts on September 1 and ends on August 31.

Undergraduate students will be paid at the lower rate; while graduate students will be paid at the higher rate.

These rates do not included vacation pay nor statutory pay.

These rates will be applied until a new collective agreement is ratified. Retro will be paid after the ratification.

Requirements and Nature of Work:

Nature du travail

  • Soutenir le professeur et le technologue dans la préparation des laboratoires

  • Aider les étudiants à réaliser des expériences en laboratoire et fournir des explications supplémentaires et des démonstrations pratiques

  • Superviser les étudiants durant les sessions de travaux pratiques en laboratoire

  • Assurer que les étudiants respectent les protocoles de sécurité et utilisent correctement les équipements de laboratoire

  • Évaluer les étudiants avec l’outils Core Elms

Exigences

  • Étudiant∙e Doctorat en Sc. Pharmaceutiques, BSc en Sciences pharmaceutiques, chimie, pharmacologie ou biotechnologie, MSc ou PhD de l’université d’Ottawa

  • Prérequis: PHM 1501, PHM 2518, PHM 2901 avec succès

  • Solide connaissances pratiques en biochimie et en techniques de laboratoire (dosage, pH, spectrométrie)

  • Capacité à expliquer des concepts complexes de manière claire et compréhensible

  • Aptitude à travailler en équipe et à communiquer efficacement avec les étudiants et le personnel académique

  • Connaissance des protocoles de sécurité en laboratoire et Formation en Santé et sécurité uO validée

  • Un bon niveau de français écrit et parlé
