We are seeking an experienced and motivated Release Train Engineer (RTE) to lead our Agile Release Train (ART) within Finance Technology. The RTE will be responsible for driving the delivery of large-scale, high-impact financial technology programs by coordinating the efforts of multiple agile teams and ensuring alignment with the strategic objectives of the organization. The ideal candidate is a servant leader with deep expertise in Agile frameworks (SAFe), strong communication skills, and the ability to manage and resolve complex dependencies within a fast-paced environment. A critical aspect of this role will be the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into our workflows, enhancing decision-making, efficiency, and overall program delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Leadership & Coordination:
    • Lead the Agile Release Train (ART) for Finance Technology, managing end-to-end delivery of initiatives aligned with the company’s finance transformation strategy, with a strong focus on leveraging AI technologies to optimize processes.
    • Facilitate PI (Program Increment) Planning sessions, aligning multiple agile teams to deliver against business objectives, while utilizing AI-driven analytics to inform planning and prioritization.
    • Coordinate and drive the execution of program-level activities, including PI Planning, Scrum of Scrums, System Demos, and Inspect & Adapt (I&A) events, integrating AI insights to enhance team collaboration and performance.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
    • Work closely with Product Managers, Solution Architects, and other stakeholders to align roadmaps, resolve dependencies, and mitigate risks, emphasizing the role of AI in enhancing communication and transparency.
    • Serve as a central point of contact for communication between teams, ensuring transparency and alignment across all levels of the organization, while promoting the use of AI tools for real-time updates and insights.
    • Coach Agile teams, Scrum Masters, and Product Owners on best practices, including the effective use of AI technologies that streamline workflows, automate repetitive tasks, and improve overall efficiency.
  • Risk & Issue Management:
    • Proactively identify and manage risks, impediments, and dependencies that may impact delivery timelines, utilizing AI to predict potential issues and recommend mitigation strategies.
    • Escalate critical issues to senior management and facilitate resolution through cross-functional collaboration, leveraging AI analytics to provide data-driven insights for decision-making.
  • Performance & Continuous Improvement:
    • Track and analyze key performance metrics to drive continuous improvement in program delivery, employing AI analytics to gain deeper insights into team performance and project outcomes.
    • Foster a culture of relentless improvement, using AI-driven data insights to enhance team performance, predictability, and overall value delivery, while encouraging teams to adopt innovative AI solutions.
  • Governance & Compliance:
    • Ensure that all financial technology deliveries adhere to regulatory requirements, compliance standards, and internal governance policies, with a focus on how AI can enhance compliance monitoring and reporting.
    • Partner with finance, risk, and audit teams to maintain the highest levels of integrity and transparency in financial technology operations, utilizing AI tools to streamline compliance processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Information Technology, or a related field (MBA or relevant certifications preferred).
  • 8+ years of experience in program management, Agile coaching, or a similar role, with at least 3+ years as a Release Train Engineer in a large-scale enterprise environment.
  • Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban) and proven experience leading Agile Release Trains.
  • Deep understanding of financial systems, regulatory compliance, and technology transformation within the financial sector.
  • Proven experience in utilizing AI to enhance operational efficiencies, decision-making processes, and team collaboration.
  • Excellent leadership, facilitation, and coaching skills, with a proven ability to influence and drive change across all levels of an organization.
  • Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Certified SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) or other relevant Agile certifications are highly preferred.
