KBR is looking for a Scaffolder III to join our Maintenance Department. This role will be responsible to erect and dismantle scaffolding to provide work platforms and handrails or temporary structures such as stages, seating, and catwalks for the execution of maintenance work at the project site.
Responsibilities:
- Check the requirements from drawings and written instructions from supervisor, select the required materials and set the ground levels
- Assemble and fit together steel pipes, support beams, support braces and clamps to form bases for scaffolds
- Use frame/section to lift and position section/frame of scaffolding and blot pipes together to build up scaffolding equipment
- Place planks over beams to create safe working platforms
- Use prefabricated scaffolding when available to save time and money
- Dismantle and clean up scaffolding material at the completion of a job
- Housekeeping work when required
- Attend safety and technical trainings as required
- Meet competency-based training programs
- All other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma and 3 + years of related experience in Oil and Gas maintenance
- Hold a valid certification issued by a recognized third-party certification body or an accredited Saudi institute, attesting to the individual’s qualifications and competency to perform the work
- Knowledge of
- HSE SATORP rules and policies
- Plant hazard materials
- PPE & its proper use
- Familiarity with the planks color code system and “USE/NO-USE” Tag system
- Strong technical understanding of maintenance management of Oil & Gas Facilities
- Well organized and proactive with excellent communication skills
- Proven ability to work under pressure and resolve problems
- Demonstrated capacity to work in a multi-cultural environment
- Flexibility to live and work in KSA
