Role Description
- We are looking for a highly experienced and result-oriented Vice President to lead SAS decommissioning and migration initiatives ,critical data operations, monitoring, and monitoring initiatives across SAS and Adobe data ecosystems.
- The role requires strong technical leadership, stakeholder management, and ownership of large-scale transformation programs including SAS decommissioning and migration initiatives.

Your key responsibilities
Position Specific Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Guidance for setting out the responsibilities and tasks to be carried out in the position:
- Take full ownership of SAS monitoring activities, ensuring system stability, performance, and issue resolution.
- Lead and drive SAS decommissioning initiatives, including planning, execution, risk management, and stakeholder alignment.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to understand requirements, prioritize initiatives, and ensure alignment with business goals.
- Provide strong leadership in Adobe data ecosystem environments, ensuring smooth operations and integration with enterprise data platforms.
- Demonstrate strong hands-on understanding of Python, ETL and PySpark for data processing, and problem-solving.
- Independently handle complex technical discussions, architecture reviews, and production issue resolution.
- Lead and manage teams effectively, ensuring delivery aligned with business objectives and timelines.
- Mentor and guide team members on individual development plans (IDPs), skill enhancement, and career growth.
- Establish governance, reporting structures, and performance tracking mechanisms for operational excellence.
- Drive continuous improvement, automation, and modernization across data platforms.
- Cooperation with product owners, scrum masters, engineers, and security specialists in an agile work environment
- Compliance with general coding standards and security mechanisms
The following are typically some of the tasks for which an SAS Lead is responsible for along with SAS engineer:
Activities :
- SAS License renewal yearly for prod and non-prod
- SSL renewal yearly for Prod and half-yearly for non-prod using certhub
- GCP Service account renewal yearly for Prod and quarterly for non-prod and recertification yearly
- Business users’ creation and updating using dB passport portal to access ECCSAS Unix server prod and/or non-prod
- Uploading of SSH key of business/technical user using UKM portal
- Business user creation to access SAS Metadata server using SMC
- Users Incident related: SAS License renewal in desktop/laptop , Connection to ECCSAS server using SAS base; SAS EG
- Running ACL script to assign/update permissions for new/existing user
- Restart of SAS services on need basis only
Your Skills & Experience
- Experience in working with SAS Metadata and user administration
- Knowledge on common SAS products SAS/BASE, SAS/MACRO, SAS/CONNECT and common interactions of SAS with Oracle databases and PC File formats
- Strong experience in SAS platforms, monitoring and production support.
- Proven record in large scale decommissioning/ Migration programs
- Hands-on experience in Linux OS , Python and Pyspark
- Working knowledge on Adobe data platforms
- Ability to manage large technical teams in a VP capacity
