Job description

Job Summary
As an SAP PP Offshore Consultant at Hitachi, Ltd., you will be responsible for providing expert functional and technical support for SAP Production Planning modules, focusing on offshore project delivery and maintenance. You will collaborate with global teams to design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes within SAP.

Job Responsibilities
* Participate in all phases of the SAP project lifecycle, including blueprinting, realization, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support for SAP PP functionalities.
* Analyze business requirements and translate them into effective SAP PP solutions, including configuration, master data setup, and process design.
* Conduct workshops and gather requirements from business users, documenting functional specifications for development objects.
* Perform system configuration in SAP PP, including master data (materials, BOMs, routings, work centers), production orders, process orders, MRP, and capacity planning.
* Collaborate with technical teams for custom developments (enhancements, reports, interfaces) and data migrations related to SAP PP.
* Develop and execute test plans, including unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
* Provide ongoing support, troubleshoot issues, and resolve defects related to SAP PP modules.
* Train end-users on SAP PP functionalities and prepare user documentation.
* Work effectively in an offshore delivery model, ensuring clear communication and collaboration with onshore teams and clients.
* Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies and best practices, particularly within the PP domain.

Job Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
* Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in SAP PP implementation, configuration, and support.
* Strong understanding of discrete manufacturing, process manufacturing, and repetitive manufacturing processes within SAP PP.
* Proficiency in configuring SAP PP modules, including Master Data (Material Master, BOM, Work Center, Routing, Production Version), MRP, Production Order/Process Order Management, Capacity Planning, Shop Floor Control, and KANBAN.
* Experience with integration points between SAP PP and other modules such as MM, SD, QM, and FI/CO.
* Ability to read and understand ABAP code and debug issues is a plus.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
* Ability to work independently and as part of a distributed global team in an offshore delivery model.
* Strong client-facing skills with the ability to effectively gather requirements and present solutions.
* SAP PP certification is highly desirable.
