The following position is to join our RTX Corporate, Enterprise Services, Research Center or BBN team:

We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Landscape Manager to coordinate, govern, and maintain a complex enterprise SAP environment consisting of multiple S/4HANA Business Unit systems, a centralized Corporate Hub S/4HANA instance, and an ecosystem of cloud and third-party applications including SAP BTP, Ariba, Concur, SuccessFactors, BOBJ, BODS, and commonly used A&D extensions such as Cognitus, Serrala, and Vertex.

This role ensures landscape consistency, technical integrity, reliable integration flow, and controlled changes across a multi-landscape environment supporting a major Aerospace & Defense digital transformation program. The Landscape Manager acts as the orchestration point across architecture, basis, integration, cybersecurity, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless end-to-end readiness across all environments.

The ideal candidate brings deep SAP technical experience combined with strong execution discipline, cross-team coordination, and landscape governance leadership.

What you will do:

Multi-Landscape Ownership & Governance

• Manage and coordinate all SAP landscapes, including:

  • All S/4HANA instances
  • SAP BTP & Integration Suite
  • Ariba, Concur, SuccessFactors
  • BW, BOBJ, SAC, BODS
  • A&D third-party applications (Cognitus, Serrala, Vertex, etc.)
  • Future applications as required

• Establish and maintain the enterprise landscape strategy, including environment sequencing, synchronization points, refresh schedules, system provisioning, and alignment across all program tracks.

• Ensure technical consistency and architectural alignment across all environments in accordance with the program’s Technical Consistency Process (TCP).

Environment & Release Coordination

• Manage environment readiness for development, testing, training, regression, pre-production, and production.
• Coordinate with the Transport & Release Management team on transport management, change orchestration, and release processes across all S/4HANA systems and SAP/cloud platforms.
• Ensure proper sequencing of changes across interconnected systems (S/4, BTP, PLM, MES, Ariba, Concur, BOBJ, BODS).
• Coordinate system refreshes and environment rebuild activities with Basis, Infrastructure, and Hosting partners.

Integration & Cross-System Readiness

• Partner with Integration Architecture and SI teams to ensure all landscapes support end-to-end process flows across ERP, PLM, MES, BTP, Analytics, and tax/compliance systems.
• Validate connectivity, certificates, RFCs, APIs, and interface mappings across systems including third-party integrations (Vertex, Serrala, Cognitus).
• Oversee landscape preparation for integration testing cycles, cutovers, mock conversions, and deployments.

Security, Compliance & Technical Controls

• Ensure landscape alignment with ITAR, DFARS, CMMC, cybersecurity, export control, and audit requirements.
• Coordinate with Cybersecurity and GRC teams to validate technical user governance, identity propagation, cross-system authentication, and platform compliance.
• Coordinate with the Security team to ensure proper management of certificates, SSO configurations, integration credentials, and other audit-sensitive technical components.

Leadership, Communication & Vendor Coordination

• Serve as the central coordination point for all landscape-related topics across the program, including PMO, Architecture, Basis, Infrastructure, Security, Data, and SI partners.
• Provide clear communication on landscape risks, dependencies, blockers, and mitigation steps.
• Lead technical escalations with SAP, hosting providers, and third-party vendors (Cognitus, Serrala, Vertex, analytics/data services vendors).
• Ensure landscape-related activities are synchronized across program milestones, including releases, testing cycles, and cutovers.

What you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or related technical field.

  • 8+ years of SAP technical experience across Basis, landscape coordination, system administration, or SAP infrastructure roles.

  • Demonstrated experience managing multi-system S/4HANA landscapes, ideally with:

  • Multiple production instances

  • Centralized hub or enterprise systems

  • Hybrid SAP cloud components (BTP, Ariba, Concur, BOBJ, BODS)
    • Strong background in transport management, system refresh processes, environment governance, and cross-landscape orchestration.
    • Understanding of A&D regulatory frameworks (ITAR, DFARS, CMMC).
    • Strong communication and coordination skills across technical, functional, and leadership audiences.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience with SAP BTP Integration Suite, Event Mesh, and hybrid cloud connectivity.

  • Familiarity with PLM (Teamcenter), MES (Solumina, FactoryLogix, CMES), and other manufacturing boundary systems.

  • Experience working on large SAP transformation programs with multiple SI vendors.

  • Technical certifications in SAP Basis, Cloud Architecture, ITIL, or project management.

Success Criteria

  • Fully coordinated and aligned SAP landscapes with no environment-related blockers to program milestones.

  • Reliable and controlled change and transport processes across all systems.

  • Clear visibility of technical dependencies, risks, and required coordination points.

  • Strong cross-team alignment ensuring smooth integration, testing, and cutover cycles.

  • Environments remain secure, compliant, and audit-ready at all times.
