SAP COE Datasphere Developer

Bengaluru, KA Full time

The SAP CoE Datasphere Developer is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing enterprise data models and integrations within SAP Datasphere to deliver reliable, high‑quality analytics capabilities across the organization. The role ensures stable operations through AMS support, strong governance, and close collaboration with business and analytics teams.

Goal of function:

The SAP Datasphere Developer designs, develops, and optimizes enterprise‑grade data models, data flows, and integrations within SAP Datasphere to support global reporting, analytics, and data governance needs. The role ensures reliable data operations, high‑quality modelling standards, and continuous improvement of the Datasphere landscape within the SAP Center of Excellence.

1) Main tasks:

Design, build, and enhance Datasphere data models including analytical datasets, semantic views, fact/dimension structures, and star‑schema‑based architectures. Develop and maintain data integrations using Data Flows, Replication Flows, SDI/SDA, and connections to SAP S/4HANA, ECC, BW/4HANA, HANA Cloud, and non‑SAP systems. Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Datasphere environments, addressing load failures, connection issues, and performance bottlenecks. Perform incident, problem, and change management, including root‑cause analysis, solution delivery, and SLA adherence. Ensure data governance, metadata quality, lineage tracking, and access control (spaces, roles, privileges). Collaborate with business users, functional teams, and analytics groups (e.g., SAC teams) to translate requirements and deliver SAC‑ready models.

2) Secondary Tasks:

Tasks regularly performed in support of primary responsibilities:

  • Support documentation creation and updates, including technical specs, data lineage diagrams, and deployment notes.
