The opportunity

Hitachi Energy is searching for an expert SAP Business Analyst who can bridge business needs and technology by driving end-to-end ERP solutions. This role involves analyzing requirements, defining scope, and translating complex business processes into SAP module specifications, while recommending improvements that enhance efficiency and performance. As a recognized subject matter expert, you’ll shape operational plans, influence leadership, and lead the development of innovative processes and standards that deliver measurable impact. Strong communication skills and the ability to align stakeholders with strategic objectives are essential for success.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Establish governance and organizational frameworks to ensure clear roles, responsibilities, and decision-making aligned with global strategies.
  • Provide strategic oversight for global programs, ensuring adherence to standardized processes and full adoption of core systems.
  • Gather and analyze business requirements, synthesizing input from stakeholders to align with business goals.
  • Manage BU demand funnel toward SAP CoE in line with business archetype.
  • Lead process harmonization and continuous improvement, eliminating template deviations and promoting best practices across regions.
  • Monitor business process performance through key metrics, data analysis, and benchmarking against industry standards.
  • Drive data governance and management, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and security across HUBs and systems.
  • Assess and address training needs, delivering resources and sessions to enhance team competencies and performance.
  • Champion change management initiatives, promoting global process adoption, minimizing local customizations, and securing stakeholder buy-in.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to system implementations and process changes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and develop global teams, fostering accountability, collaboration, and professional growth through coaching and performance management.
  • Collaborate on budget and demand planning, share best practices, and maintain regular communication with BU management.

Your background

  • Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in manufacturing, operations management, or related roles, with a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and managing global projects.
  • Strong leadership and change management skills, with the ability to influence and motivate global teams and stakeholders.
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing, sales, logistics, service processes, systems, and process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma).
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, capable of effectively conveying complex concepts and securing buy-in at all organizational levels.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data for performance monitoring, decision-making, and continuous improvement initiatives.
