Hitachi Digital Services Vietnam is part of a 300 strong global delivery network, supporting Hitachi Digital Services around the globe. Our employees collaborate with teams in Japan, India, Portugal, and the US, servicing customers worldwide and working on a huge variety of projects. From cloud migration to digital modernization and advanced analytics, offering operational excellence, agile delivery, and plenty of energy to work on huge transformation projects for our customers.

Responsibilities:

  • As a SAP ABAP Intern, you will be trained and coached to become an SAP Technical Consultant. Your main responsibilities include:
  • Participate in training sessions to learn SAP ABAP programming language, SAP development concepts, and ERP fundamentals.
  • Support the development team in understanding business requirements under guidance from senior consultants.
  • Assist in writing and modifying ABAP program logic based on assigned tasks.
  • Perform basic unit testing to verify program behavior under supervision.
  • Support fixing simple bugs and technical issues during development & testing phases.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation related to development tasks (technical notes, change logs, etc.).
  • Learn and follow project development processes, coding conventions, and naming standards.
  • Actively communicate with mentors and team members to ensure timely progress.
  • Continuously self-study to improve SAP technical skills and share learning results with the team.

Required skills set:

  • Basic programming knowledge (any language: Java, C/C++, C#, Python, etc.)
  • Good logical thinking and technical mindset.
  • Problem-solving and analytical thinking ability.
  • Basic understanding of SQL or database concepts (e.g., tables, keys, simple SELECT queries).
  • Passion for coding and willingness to learn new technologies.
  • Basic debugging or troubleshooting skill is a plus.
  • Good communication skills and willingness to ask questions.
  • Good English communication skills (reading, writing, speaking, and listening).
  • Teamwork spirit and positive attitude in learning.

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate student or fresh graduate majoring in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields.
  • Commitment to 3 months full-time internship.

Advantages:

  • Experience with any Web technologies (UI5, JavaScript, HTML/CSS) is a plus.
  • Participation in SAP-related courses or academy programs is a plus.
  • Experience participating in software development projects (university, personal, or internship) is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of ERP systems or business processes is a plus.
  • Ability to work onsite or support overtime during peak project periods (optional).
