Salon Academy Manager

The role:

As the Salon Academy Manager, you will support the Sr. Academy Manager in the planning and coordination of Academy activity. You will manage daily operations, inventory management, and assist in the managing, communication, and execution of all Academy programs. You will be responsible for all operational activities and the execution of Academy programs, events, and attendee engagement. With additional support to field education with administrative duties as outlined below.

  • This is an on-site position Sunday to Thursday.**

This role offers a great benefits package and a salary range of $65,000 - $75,000 plus bonus.

What you will do:

1. Help execute all operational planning, set up, tear down, and day of coordination/follow up for Kao Salon Academy programs, custom events, and on-site company meetings. Ensure that the programs meet Kao Salon Academy Standards for the ultimate enhanced experience for attendees by ensuring a high standard of service and personalized support. (55%)

2. Help oversee Academy inventories and organization associated with Academy programs. Forecast, order, and maintain all appropriate literature, equipment and supplies of Academy. Oversee daily activities of the Academy including vendor supplies, catering and deliveries from vendors for events. Responsible for AV equipment maintenance reporting for repairs and needs. (25%)

3. Support Field education with artist contracts, maintaining artist database, approving travel, managing communication with weekly registration reports and monthly education updates, support local training logistics. (10%)

4. Support Sr EM Indirect and Chains with organizational tasks such as managing virtual education sessions in Zoom, creating sell sheets and updating education training assets for Chatters online university. (10%)

What you will need:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years' experience in professional salon industry.
  • Hairdressing qualification is required
  • Project management/coordination skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, etc.)
  • Working knowledge of show event AV equipment and building management
