The Developer designs, develops, implements and supports applications to meet business needs of GEHA and subsidiaries. Designs and develops framework, forms and content. Provides technical leadership to Associate Developers in addressing solutions. Works closely with the Lead Administrator, Information Services technical staff and the business staff to develop system solutions and plan training requirements for implementation.

- Develops and maintains documentation of programs, user guides, policies and procedures. Assists with employee training on newly developed applications and technology.

Requires
- Requires four - six years of experience in technology development which may include using .NET technologies (C#) or SQL development (SQL Server. SSRS and SSIS).

Job Summary
As a Salesforce Developer at GEHA, you will be responsible for building and maintaining our Salesforce organizations. You will work closely with our Sales, Connection Dental and G.E.H.A Solutions Services teams to automate processes and build custom applications on the Salesforce platform. In this role, you will be responsible for the full development life cycle, from requirements gathering to deployment and maintenance. You will also be responsible for mentoring junior developers on the team.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical expert on Salesforce.com implementations
- Design elegant user experiences, utilizing advanced functionality, while ensuring long-term maintainability. Develop, test, deploy and maintain high-quality solutions
- Create technical specifications for new projects based on business unit requirements. Make recommendations to the business unit.
- Manage user permissions and access
- Provide technical support to business units by answering questions about product features or helping with use cases. This may include training
- Operate within the DevOps process, create roll back contingencies and manage backup solutions
- Handle multiple projects or user stories simultaneously
- Work closely with business analysts, project managers, Salesforce administrators and other developers
- Ensure that all deliverables are completed on time
- Manage applications after they have been launched to ensure that they are performing as expected
- Create and maintain documentation for new and existing applications to ensure that business units and other members of the development team can effectively use them
- Learn new/enhanced features and grow your Salesforce expertise
- Mentor less-experienced roles with responsibility for their technical development

- Maintain 90% code coverage with appropriate assertions
- Design and develop Lightning Web Component based solutions, Reusable across lightning pages, flows and external sites

Additional Requirements & Preferences
- Bachelor’s degree and/or 3+ years equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years Salesforce development experience preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience working with Apex, LWC, Java and/or JavaScript as well as Lightning Web Components and Flows
- Salesforce Developer I certified required
- Salesforce Developer II preferred
- Salesforce App Builder certified, preferred
- Salesforce Administrator certified preferred
- Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud is a plus
- Proven ability to design and develop scalable programmatic solutions in an enterprise environment.
- Strong understanding of the platform, with the ability to configure custom objects, formula fields, workflows, custom views, and other content of advanced complexity.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices and functionality.
- Experience working with the Salesforce APIs and building services to connect Salesforce with other systems.
- Experience developing within a framework and complying with defined standards.
- Familiarity with event driven development preferred.
- Experience in a Healthcare setting preferred.
- Previous experience working in a SCRUM or agile environment preferred.
- Azure DevOps (ADO) experience a plus

The hiring range for this position is $87,541 - $110,745 USD. At G.E.H.A, the current maximum salary for this role is $123,401 USD. While initial compensation may vary based on experience and qualifications, there is a path to work toward this top rate through performance and continued growth within the organization.
