What You’ll Do / Key Responsibilities
Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain custom Salesforce solutions using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Visualforce, and other Salesforce technologies
Architect and implement integrations between Salesforce and external systems via REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, or event-driven services
Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, admins, and other developers to gather requirements and translate into robust technical designs
Lead code reviews, enforce best practices, maintain high code quality, and mentor more junior developers
Build scalable data models, custom objects, relationships, triggers, flows, validation rules, and automation logic
Optimize performance of Salesforce solutions (SOQL, data volumes, governor limits, caching strategies)
Manage release cycles, sandbox environments, deployments, and CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce (e.g. Salesforce DX, Git-based development)
Maintain proper security model (profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, field-level security) and ensure compliance with governance and audit requirements
Support and troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes and improvements
Stay current with Salesforce roadmap, new features, and platform enhancements; propose how to leverage them
Help shape architecture direction, technical decisions, and contribute to long-term scalability, maintainability, and extensibility of the platform
Required Qualifications & Skills
5+ years of hands-on experience in Salesforce development (Apex, LWC, Visualforce)
Strong experience in integrating Salesforce with external systems via REST / SOAP APIs, middleware, or event-driven patterns
Proficiency in data modeling, custom objects, relationships, triggers, flows, validation rules, and automation
Deep understanding of Salesforce governor limits, performance tuning, bulk operations, and best practices
Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git), CI/CD pipelines, and change management in Salesforce (e.g. Salesforce DX)
Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and analytical skills
Solid communication skills — ability to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders, translate requirements into solutions
Experience leading or mentoring other developers
Salesforce certifications (e.g. Platform Developer I / II, App Builder, System Architect) or willingness to pursue
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
Experience with third-party Salesforce products or AppExchange packages (e.g. Salesforce CPQ, Pardot, Marketing Cloud)
Experience in Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, or Marketing Cloud
Experience with event architectures (Platform Events, Change Data Capture, Streams)
Knowledge of data integration / ETL tools (e.g. MuleSoft, Informatica, Boomi, etc.)
Familiarity with front-end web technologies (JavaScript, CSS, HTML) beyond LWC
Experience in agile / Scrum teams
Experience migrating or consolidating multiple Salesforce orgs
Knowledge of reporting, dashboards, analytic objects, and use of Salesforce reports / dashboards tools
