Sales Support Specialist

We now have a great opportunity for a Solution Sales Specialist within our Customer Success Team.

In this role, you will be the point-of-contact for Vendor Sales and other sales teams and serve as an internal business partner to the other functional teams.

Responsibilities of this Role

The key focus of this role is to provide outstanding sales support and customer service to our customers and internal stakeholders through outbound and inbound telephone contact and other electronics means covering quotation and sales order processing for products, services and renewals.

Through training and development from our dedicated team, you will become an expert in the specifics of the vendor(s), their technologies and the customer portfolio you will be assigned to, as well as having a broad understanding of the product lines and business units within Tech Data. 

You will also manage and be expected to grow customer and partner relationships for assigned partner/ vendor working with the whole sales team. You will work across other vendors and partners as required.

To be successful in this role, you will need the following skills, experience and knowledge:

  • Minimum High School Certificate (or equivalent).

  • Professional, high level English communication skills (both verbal and written).

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office proficiency.

  • Excellent time management, organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Proactive and customer service orientation with the ability to work autonomously.

  • Experience with bills of materials, quoting and ERP systems (desirable).

  • Previous customer service experience esp in the IT market will be highly regarded.
