About the Role

We’re looking for a results-driven Sales Manager to lead our Southern Relationship Management Team based in Melbourne. You'll be a key member within the Customer Leadership Team, contributing to the sales planning process as well as driving execution of the business strategy. This position is focused on driving profitable revenue through key partners, strengthening vendor relationships, and enabling high performance within the sales team. Building strong relationships is key to being successful, and this role requires someone who will lead from the front, attending customer meetings and networking events.

Role Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver sales revenue and margin targets for the southern sales division
  • Lead from the front by engaging face-to-face with partners and managing key relationships within.
  • Lead a team of relationship managers locally and remotely, providing direction, coaching and support
  • Collaborate with vendor teams on the execution of channel promotions and sales incentives
  • Create and implement sales strategies that align with the overarching sales business plans
  • Drive CRM discipline across the team to ensure there is visibility on the pipeline and activity
  • Accurate forecast for the month and quarter
  • Identify gaps in market coverage and pursue new business opportunities
  • Provide feedback on market trends and industry developments

Role Requirements

  • In-depth understanding of the IT channel within the distribution landscape
  • Proven ability to influence sales opportunities to drive profitable commercial outcomes
  • Commercially focused, with strong attention to both revenue and margin
  • Experienced people leader, able to develop, motivate, and support high-performing teams
  • Skilled in managing strategic customer relationships and complex negotiations
  • Comfortable working cross-functionally and navigating a matrixed structure
  • Can do mindset that will inspire the team
  • Flexibility to travel when required and attend after-hours events
