Job Summary:
As a Sales Associate, you are the "closer's" right hand. You will own the momentum of our sales funnel, manage complex RFP processes, and serve as a technical resource for our broker partners. This is a high-impact role for someone who is detail-oriented, data-driven, and possesses the "grit" required to navigate the competitive healthcare landscape.
What you will do:
- Pipeline Mobilization & Broker Engagement
- Drive Momentum: Take ownership of the follow-up process with broker partners, ensuring no opportunity stalls. You are the "closer's" right hand, using direct communication to move deals through the funnel.
- Command the Outreach: Design and manage outreach sequences to schedule net-new broker conversations. You view "no" as a challenge and persistence as a prerequisite for success.
- Strategic RFP Management
- Gatekeeping: Upload and review RFP documents to determine if we can bid. You will exercise your ability to see the "Big Picture" to assess if an opportunity is winnable and aligned with our goals.
- Tactical Execution: Complete intake forms and partner with Sales Managers to review RFP outputs, ensuring our submission is high-impact and strategically sound.
- Data Intelligence & Market Authority
- The Objective Truth: Own the data integrity of Salesforce. You will lead "post-mortem" reviews to understand why opportunities were lost, ensuring we capture the raw data needed to outmaneuver the competition.
- Technical Advisor: Act as a competent resource for broker partners regarding drug questions and net cost outcomes. You will provide clear, data-backed pathways that model strength and expertise.
- Intelligence Gathering
Finalist Meeting Support: Attend broker calls and finalist meetings. While you capture notes, your real job is to identify "pain points" and power dynamics to help Sales Managers win the deal.
What you will bring to SmithRx:
- Experience: 1–3 years of professional experience in B2B sales, account coordination, or insurance brokerage (experience in PBM or healthcare is highly preferred).
- Technical Savvy: Proven proficiency in Salesforce (or a similar CRM) and a strong command of the Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel for modeling net cost outcomes).
- Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; you are comfortable with cold outreach and persistent follow-ups.
- Strategic Mindset: The ability to look at an RFP or a data set and see the "win" strategy rather than just the task.
- Adaptability: A growth mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment where you manage multiple competing priorities.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
