  About the Role:

  
  The Sales Application Engineer is responsible for providing product expertise to the Sales team and the sales process.  This person performs all product demonstrations within the Jonas Property Systems Group portfolio of applications to prospects in order to ensure full functionality is demonstrated and accuracy in representation is maintained.  The Application Consultant is assigned primarily to work with the Jonas portfolio of solutions including PMS, POS, Spa and CDP solutions;  however, it is intended that the Application Engineer will work cooperatively with the other application consultants and sales managers from the all portfolio solutions.

  JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage RFI/RFP responses for property management and point of sale systems
  • Conduct property management and point of sale system demonstrations
  • Provide demonstrations of all property management and point of sale system modules
  • Participate in discovery/strategy discussions with new and existing customers around all Jonas solutions and products
  • Offer an additional level of support for the sales team, at times acting as a liaison between Product Development and the Customer, as well as Support and the Customer
  • Work with Product Management and Development to stay up to date on all PMS, POS, Spa and CDP features, functionality, and new development
  • Assist high-risk clients when necessary
  • Contribute knowledge and expertise on special projects

• JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Hotel and/or Restaurant Operations Experience
  • Knowledge of Property Management, Point of Sale and ideally Spa Management Systems
  • Experience with SMS|Host or Chorum PMS or other Jonas Hospitality solution is required, POS, Spa and CDP knowledge are preferred
  • Understanding of the Hospitality Industry
  • Strong presentation and communication skills
  • Comfortable in front of an audience presenting highly technical solutions
  • Ability to listen to what a customer/prospect needs and respond with a solution with a strong customer focused orientation
  • Clearly articulate the value of technology as it relates to hotel/restaurant operations
  • Ability to learn on the fly and be comfortable dealing with ambiguity when facing new problems
  • Excellent planning, organizing, and time management skills with high attention to detail in a demanding, deadline-driven environment

  Travel Required: Up to 50%
