Key Responsibilities:
Monitor all inbound and outbound traffic within the Nashville yard.
Ensure all outbound trucks meet applicable DOT requirements prior to departure.
Oversee and manage traffic flow within the inspection lane.
Conduct inspections of equipment and drivers to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Manage vendor access and prevent unauthorized entry onto the yard.
Maintain a working knowledge of regulatory requirements and maintenance standards.
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments to achieve operational goals.
Utilize Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and internal systems (AS400, TMT, Platform Science).
Maintain a high level of organization to effectively manage truck and vendor traffic on and off the yard.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Transportation, Occupational Safety, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
Experience in freight transportation safety, fleet management, or regulatory compliance.
Strong knowledge of DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and industry-specific safety regulations.
Excellent investigative, communication, and training skills.
Ability to analyze safety data and develop detailed reports.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Professional certifications such as Certified Transportation Safety Professional (CTSP) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) are a plus.
