This position will develop networks that help advance Humana's strategy and goals toward improving the health of the communities we serve. This position will also work with potential joint ventures and other innovative partnership opportunities as well as develop and lead contracting efforts and strategies for continuous unit cost improvement. The RVP of Contracting will represent Humana as a member of the regional executive team and report directly to the Regional President of Florida.
Responsibilities
o Strategic contracting partner for all segments (Medicare and Medicaid), accountable for developing and maintaining partner engagement and networks for a region.
o Foster and develop highly engaged internal and external partnerships
o Ensure adequate coverage of hospital, specialty and ancillary services for Humana to meet both regulatory and strategic needs
o Prioritize and align strategy between different segments and functions
o Partner with facilities and ancillary lines of business to achieve shared success
o Incorporate partner feedback and practice perspective into strategy planning, development and operations; enhance the partner experience with Humana
o Provide leadership to regional partner engagement, contracting, and operations teams. Ensure regional operations are in alignment with the company's strategic objectives
o Leverage talent and resources and champion a collaborative and integrated work environment. Lead initiatives to enhance productivity, develop talent, and change leadership
Required Qualifications
o Deep knowledge of healthcare products, specifically Medicare
o Proven experience developing multi-product strategy for contracting and engagement activities for all lines of business
o Deep understanding of facility and ancillary contracting
o Proven history of leadership through collaboration, influence, and partnerships
o Strategic, enterprise-wide and integrated thinking; fosters a collaborative culture among cross functional business partners to drive business results
o Demonstrated experience leading large teams, setting vision and goals, aligning talent, developing teams and associates, leading change and leading positively
o Experience analyzing the financial viability of complex facility and ancillary contracts
o Ability to travel approximately 20% of the time within the state of Florida
o Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Business Administration, Finance, or Health Care Administration
Preferred Qualifications:
o Master's degree
o 7 years of business leadership experience, with a minimum of 5 years as the leader of a Medicare network development/provider relations function
o Desire to develop and maintain best-in class performance through relationships, collaboration, and shared success

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting.
