Containers handled may be laden or empty and vary in size from 20ft to 40ft.

This role requires a high level of focus, care, and operational discipline, as safety, precision, and coordination are essential in a fast‑paced terminal environment. The RTG Operator works closely with Planning, Technical, Safety, and Security teams to ensure smooth and compliant operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate RTG cranes safely and efficiently to load, discharge, and stack containers in accordance with operational plans
  • Carry out pre‑shift equipment inspections to ensure all crane components are functioning correctly
  • Identify, report, and escalate any equipment malfunctions, damage, or safety concerns before, during, or after operations
  • Follow all standard operating procedures, safety guidelines, and terminal instructions at all times
  • Ensure the safe handling of containers to prevent injury, cargo damage, or equipment loss
  • Maintain productivity while upholding quality, safety, and operational standards
  • Support general yard operations and perform related tasks as assigned by supervision
  • Interact appropriately with internal teams and external stakeholders when required
