REQ14463 Room Attendant (Open)
Position Summary
The Room Attendant is responsible for cleaning assigned guest rooms, guest corridors and service areas in accordance with departmental set service standards.
Primary Responsibilities
- Clean guest rooms in accordance with established checklists and five star standards in an efficient and thorough manner.
- Maintain knowledge of hotel and guest rooms including facilities, restocking requirements and operations to ensure that guest queries can be answered or referred promptly.
- Communicate with fellow team members and departments to proactively service guests, minimize confusion and ensure room standards are maintained and guest requirements are satisfied.
- Provide turn-down service in accordance with established procedures and practices.
- Maintain all public, common and back of house areas ensuring they are clean and free of risks including using appropriate cautionary signage to alert guests and fellow staff of potential risks as required.
- Actively participate in health and safety activities to ensure that workplace hazards are minimized and the health and safety of all employees is valued.
- Ensure highest standard of hygiene is maintained by following HACCP guidelines at all time
- Perform other reasonable job duties as assigned by supervisors from time to time
- Adhere to all Company policies and procedures
- Report accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions to supervisors
- When there are the needs due to the hotel occupancy and the manpower requirement, staff has to perform other duties in properties and in different department under Hotel Operations as assigned by Managers. For instance, EVS, Wardrobe, etc..
Qualifications
Experience
- No previous experience is required
Education
- Secondary school certificate or equivalent professional training
Skills / Competencies
- Ability to communicate in Cantonese / Mandarin
- Following the correct safe manual handling and lifting techniques
- Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 kg on frequent basis without assistance
- Frequently / Occasional ascending or descending ladders and/or ramps.
- Ability to work on flexible shift including overnight, weekends and holiday on rotation basis
- Ability to work on overtime when needed
- Must be able to work indoors and be exposed to various environments such as, but not limited to noise, dust, cigarette smoke and fragrances
