We are seeking an experienced Risk and Compliance Lead to join our team based 100% on site in Port Melbourne, on a full-time, permanent basis. This position will play a key role in embedding a strong compliance culture, supporting risk identification and mitigation strategies and preparing reporting for Executive Leadership and Board stakeholders.

In addition, this role will be responsible for maintaining and strengthening the organisation’s risk and compliance frameworks, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, industry best practice and internal governance standards.

Position Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Partner with executive leaders to embed a proactive risk culture
• Oversee compliance reviews, synthesise regulatory and industry trends and changes to ensure compliance best practice
• Support governance committees and deliver high-quality reporting to senior leadership
• Drive continuous improvement in risk maturity and control effectiveness
• Responsible for alignment of local entity policies and procedure with global policies and procedures
• Manage business level process remediation action plans
• Regular engagement with the senior leadership team to report and resolve risks, issues and opportunities throughout the business

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

 You will need to be able to demonstrate the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Law, Risk Management, Commerce, Engineering or a related discipline
• Proficient in using the Microsoft Suite and common systems. Archer or similar experience highly desirable
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with proven ability to influence and maintain strong stakeholder engagement across all levels of management
• Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into actionable business processes and controls
• Strong project management and prioritisation skills to manage continuous improvement
• Demonstrated experience and deep understanding of risk and compliance frameworks and industry best practices
• Extensive understanding of risk management concepts and frameworks with a track record successful business partnering and practical and pragmatic implementation
• Full unrestricted Australian working rights

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):

• Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors Course

This is a Non EBA position IJC 5A86l4. Remuneration will be dependent on skills and experience. The successful candidate will be required to complete pre-employment checks and a 6 month probationary period.
