Do work that matters

The Group Investigations (GI) team is part of the Technology Business Unit and its purpose is to investigate internal fraud, serious integrity-based misconduct and insider risk events involving employees, contractors and suppliers.

See yourself in the team

Reporting into the Senior Manager Governance, you will initiate deep dives and post incident reviews into internal fraud, insider risk and serious misconduct investigations conducted by GI with a view of gaining insights into the root causes impacting the Group. Through this analysis and engagement with relevant business stakeholders, you will understand and document trends and risk insights with an ultimate objective of driving change across the Group through the implementation of applicable fraud risk management solutions and controls to mitigate future risk.

Your day could look like but not be limited to

  • Conducting thorough reviews of internal fraud, insider risk and serious misconduct investigations captured in GI’s case management system to identify applicable root causes for the substantiated activity;

  • Where appropriate, conduct risk based and proactive reviews on employees who have flagged numerous times within GI.

  • Documenting these findings to capture identified shortfalls in process, systems, non-adherence to existing policies or areas of development for our people;

  • Conducting analysis in line with the Group’s Risk Steward Guide and the Group Risk Appetite Statement with a view of identifying discernible trends and insights;

  • Identifying and recommending potential control improvements to drive change and to lessen the likelihood of future internal fraud/insider risk/serious misconduct incidents from occurring;

  • Produce and develop regular and high quality stakeholder reporting and insights presented to the Group Security Non-Financial Risk Committee (NFRC), as well as the GI NFRC; and

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders to understand the controls, if any, they are implementing as a result of completed investigations which have impacted their business/support unit.
