Job Summary
As a Technical Trainee, you work in line with prescribed operating frameworks and develop your skills whilst gaining valuable hands on industry experience. You demonstrate a passion for technology, excellent customer service skills and a willingness to learn all aspects from our highly experienced IT team. Your role involves assisting in the provision of technical service, solutions and support to the networks, infrastructure, products and services supplied and operated by Telstra, giving you the opportunity to kick start your career in a supportive team environment.About the role
As a Telstra Rigging Telecommunications Trainee, you will work alongside a mentor offering you on going coaching, support and mentoring during your traineeship. We will build on your current strengths, attributes and values and provide you the technical skills required to start a career in one of Australia’s fastest growing industries.
You will actively participate in a diverse team environment to deliver the optimum customer and commercial outcomes aligned to Telstra’s values and strategy.
To be considered for the opportunity you will need the following skills & attributes:
Ability to follow strict Occupational Health and Safety instructions and practices
Ability to work at heights up to or above 100 meters
Ability to work and travel away from home
Physically fit and healthy to climb and work on towers at heights
Ability to undergo pre-employment medical and drug alcohol screening
Ability to undertake a police check
Professional and polite communication
Be technically minded
This offer is a 12-month fixed term contract with opportunity for a permanent contract thereafter.
Qualifications:
As a Trainee Rigger you will be provided with Telecommunication Technology Cert III training during the traineeship along with High-Risk Work Licenses.
A valid driver’s license.
No prior qualifications need.
Language, Literacy and Numeracy assessment undertaken by RTO.
