SUMMARY:

The Reward Analyst plays a key role in Cubic’s global compensation function, contributing to the delivery of compensation, recognition, and incentive programmes. Working under general guidance from Senior Compensation Partners, this role applies established policies and frameworks to analyse data and provide insights to support consistent and informed reward decisions.

The position focuses on developing professional expertise across reward, exercising judgement within defined guidelines, and identifying trends, risks, and inconsistencies to support effective outcomes. The Reward Analyst works across multiple areas of the business, building strong internal relationships and contributing to the continuous improvement of reward processes, data quality, and operational effectiveness.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1.    Prepare, validate, and analyse compensation data to support offers, promotions, and pay review activities, ensuring alignment with Cubic’s compensation philosophy and frameworks.
2.    Support the delivery of the annual compensation review cycle, maintaining accurate records, tracking progress, and ensuring timely and consistent execution.
3.    Support short-term and retention-focused programmes, including data preparation, generation of plan documentation for review, tracking, and issue resolution.
4.    Contribute to job evaluation and reward analysis activities, supporting the consistent application of the Global Job Framework.
5.    Analyse compensation, incentive, and recognition data to identify trends, risks, and inconsistencies, highlighting key observations and providing initial recommendations to support decision-making.
6.    Support participation in compensation surveys, including data collection, validation, analysis, and preparation of outputs.
7.    Support the administration of the Rewards and Recognition programme, including processing awards, maintaining accurate records, and tracking activity to identify risks or inconsistencies.
8.    Maintain and manage reward data across HR systems, including preparing and uploading data, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with job architecture and internal guidelines.
9.    Provide guidance on compensation policies and processes within defined frameworks, supporting stakeholders with clear and consistent information and escalating where appropriate.
10.    Track and coordinate reward-related activities, identifying opportunities to improve processes and contribute to increased standardisation and data quality across the function.
 

BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in compensation or a related analytical role.
  • Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel and experience working with HR systems.
  • Familiarity with compensation structures, job frameworks, and reward processes is advantageous
  • Demonstrated ability to manage data accurately, meet deadlines, and work within defined processes
  • Ability to apply judgement within established guidelines and escalate appropriately
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to provide clear updates and build professional working relationships
  • Experience contributing to process improvement and supporting operational change
