Job Summary

The Revenue Cycle Trainer plays a critical role in preparing colleagues across key revenue cycle functions to perform effectively by delivering operational training that supports accuracy, quality, and efficiency. This role is responsible for facilitating new hire onboarding, skill refreshers, and training on process updates related to systems, workflows, and performance standards. The trainer collaborates closely with the Training Manager and operational leaders to ensure content is current, consistent, and aligned with business needs, helping to drive colleague readiness and performance across a growing organization.

Work Shift:  Flexibility required to meet business training needs

Location: Primarily Remote with On-site Travel up to 50% as needed by the business

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Facilitate operational training focused on systems, workflows, procedures, and performance expectations to new and existing colleagues across key revenue cycle functions, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and performance readiness.

  • Conduct ongoing training sessions to address system and process updates, performance trends, or identified knowledge gaps.

  • Track and report on training participation, completion, and colleague progress to help leaders assess readiness.

  • Identify and escalate trends or gaps in colleague understanding or performance that require retraining or process clarification.

  • Reinforce training content using interactive methods, job-based scenarios, and hands-on practice.

  • Collaborate with operational leaders to assess training needs and align delivery with business priorities.

  • Monitor learner engagement and progress; provide guidance, coaching, or retraining as needed to support performance.

  • Assist in developing and maintaining training materials, job aids, and standard work documents to reflect current practices.

  • Maintain subject matter expertise on revenue cycle workflows and systems to ensure training accuracy and relevance.

  • Provide feedback to leadership on curriculum effectiveness and recommend enhancements to improve outcomes.

  • Support a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence through consistent, high-quality training delivery.

  • Complete special projects, as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree or minimum of 3 years of revenue cycle experience preferred

  • Experience with EHR systems such as EPIC, Cerner, Meditech, etc.

  • 1+ years’ experience in all aspects of the healthcare revenue cycle

  • Excellent oral and written presentation skills

  • Ability to manage multiple competing projects in a dynamic environment

  • Ability to build trust and credibility with internal stakeholders, understand learner needs and tailor solutions accordingly

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Skills but Not Required

  • 1+ years of training experience in Healthcare Patient Engagement Services

  • Demonstrated experience in curriculum development, instructional design, and adult learning

  • Experience with LMS platforms and eLearning development tools

  • Relevant RCM Training Certifications (i.e. EPIC Certified Trainer)

Savista is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The annual range for this role is from $60,000 to $70,000. However, specific compensation for the role will vary within the above range based on many factors including but not limited to geographic location, candidate experience, applicable certifications, and skills.
