Revenue Accountant

Budapest, Hungary Full Time

**This role is located in Budapest, HU - We are a hybrid work environment and are in the office 3+ days/per week. Our office is located next to Kalvin square.**

Skills:

  • English Fluency: You can communicate clearly and effectively in English.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or relevant experience).
  • Experience: 3–5+ years of revenue accounting experience, ideally in a SaaS environment. US GAAP and ASC 606 experience is a plus.
  • Accuracy & Detail: You’re careful and precise with numbers and documentation.
  • Analytical Thinking: You’re able to identify inconsistencies and dig into the data.
  • Proactive Attitude: You ask questions, raise flags early, and look for ways to help.
  • Adaptability: You're open to change and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • System Proficiency: Proficiency with Netsuite (included the Advanced Revenue Management module) and Salesforce is a plus.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform end-to-end revenue accounting activities in NetSuite, including fulfillment, creation and maintenance of revenue arrangements, revenue plan updates, exception handling, and monthly revenue recognition support.
  • Manage deal setup in NetSuite, including customer creation, contract configuration, and billing schedules. 
  • Support the accounts receivable and billing team, especially as it relates to the professional services billing.
  • Prepare and validate month-end close deliverables: revenue reconciliations, journal entries, contract asset/liability rollforwards, and revenue-related flux analyses.
  • Maintain and review revenue reports, perform checks, and assist with complex deal reviews to ensure ASC 606 compliance.
  • Partner with FP&A, Sales Ops, Legal, and Professional Services teams to ensure completeness and accuracy of revenue, billing, and project data.
  • Support internal and external audit requests by preparing revenue schedules, documentation, and audit-ready support packages.
  • Collaborate with and support the AR team on weekly AR aging insights with a focus on identifying revenue risks, trends, and collection priorities.
  • Drive continuous improvement across revenue-related processes, systems, and cross-functional workflows.

What You Bring:

  • 3–5+ years of revenue accounting experience, ideally in a SaaS environment
  • Strong NetSuite & ARM experience
  • Solid understanding of ASC 606 and multi-element arrangements
  • High accuracy, ownership, and ability to manage complex workloads
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to work with customers and executives
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues, think end-to-end, and improve processes
