Job Description:

Arrow is looking for a Retirement Benefits Manager to join the Americas compensation and benefits team in our Centennial, CO location.

The Retirement Benefits Manager is responsible for managing the administration of Arrow’s qualified and non-qualified retirement plans in the US and Canada.  This role will act as a subject matter expert with federal, state and local laws impacting retirement programs and will assist with compliance in all regulatory requirements, including government filings (Form 5500), and satisfy internal and external audit requirements.

What You'll Be Doing:

Retirement administration:

  • Provide leadership for the administration of Arrow’s qualified and non-qualified retirement plans, either internally or through a partnership with outsourced service provider, in accordance with company policies and procedures while ensuring alignment with company policies, procedures, and long-term business objectives.

  • Oversee relationships with recordkeeping and custodian vendors, ensuring high-quality service delivery, adherence to plan guidelines, and compliance with IRS, DOL, and CAPSA regulations.

  • Support the administration of Arrow’s Supplemental Executive Retirement Plan (SERP) and act as a key advisor on executive retirement benefits.

  • Monitor plan performance and recommend enhancements to improve efficiency, compliance, and employee experience.

  • Review and audit employee and Arrow contributions from Payroll on a weekly basis. Collaborate with the payroll team to reconcile contributions and post funding to the recordkeeper for applicable plans on a scheduled basis.  Audit retirement plan eligibility and participant data. Resolve discrepancies as needed.

  • Monitor and audit loan data to ensure adherence to terms and compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Perform secondary reviews of additional calculations and system entries as needed.

  • Handle escalated retirement benefit inquiries in a timely manner.

  • Manage special projects as needed (e.g., plan design updates, system conversions, enhancements, acquisitions).

  • May assist with health & welfare benefits as needed.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including IRS Form 5500 filings, SOX compliance, SEC reporting, CAPSA requirements in Canada, and other required notices and filings related to Arrow’s retirement programs.

  • Serve as a liaison with plan recordkeepers, retirement committee, trustees to ensure plans are administered in accordance with plan documents, established procedures and government regulations.

  • Update Summary Plan Descriptions and applicable administrative process documents to ensure legal compliance and operational efficiency. 

  • Interpret, review and update plan policies and procedures to ensure standardization, legal compliance, and improved efficiency.  Identify, develop, and implement process improvements in partnership with HR Technology, HRIS, Payroll and service providers. 

  • Lead audits and reviews of retirement plans, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to address findings and implement corrective actions.

Communications:

  • Develop employee communications for retirement plans and disseminate announcements/reminders as required throughout the year. May develop and deliver presentations to all levels of employees. 

  • Educate, mentor, and train managers and HR teams on new benefit programs, processes, and systems as needed.

What We Are Looking For:

Ideal candidate has at least a 4-year degree and at least 8 years prior retirement benefits experience with progressively more complex assignments and responsibilities, benefit project management experience, and advanced understanding of retirement benefit principles, practices and trends. 

Skills Critical to Success in this Role:

Technical Skills: Advanced Microsoft office skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and proficient use of HRIS systems (Workday preferred) and benefits related web applications required.

Relationship Management: Proven client relationship skills with internal and external stakeholders, the ability to collaborate well, and work effectively as a team member or a project lead. 

Project Management: Ability to manage several projects simultaneously with competing deadlines in a fast paced, dynamic environment. Strong organizational skills.

Communication Skills: Demonstrate advanced writing skills and able to draft email communications, FAQs, training content in Word and PowerPoint, manager and HR talking points, research summaries, etc. related to compensation programs, systems, and practices.

Consulting Skills: Demonstrate prior experience consulting client groups, HR colleagues, regarding compensation design, practice, trends, and the implementation of compensation projects.  Ability to assess situations, understand problems and identify the root cause, evaluate potential solutions and implications, and form a plan to address challenges. 

Ability to keep highly sensitive human resources and compensation information confidential.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Finance, Business Administration/Management

  • Knowledge of industry and competitive market

  • US and Canada retirement experience

Work Arrangement:

Hybrid: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday required office days for Panorama Office site; Monday, Friday-work from home.

Annual Hiring Range/Hourly Rate:

$102,900 - $140,000

Remote work employees may be required to be present at the closest designated Arrow office for work-related purposes, at the Company’s request and sole discretion.
