Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Retail Sales Manager to lead ResMed’s retail operations across New Zealand. This role is pivotal in driving operational excellence, developing high-performing teams, and maximizing in-store opportunities to deliver exceptional customer experiences. You will oversee all eight ResMed stores, ensuring consistent standards, strong leadership, and optimal performance across the network.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership:

  • Manage day-to-day operations across eight retail sites.

  • Ensure consistent branding, presentation, and compliance with ResMed standards.

  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and customer experience.

Team Development & Performance:

  • Lead, mentor, and coach team leaders (store managers) to achieve sales and service targets.

  • Drive a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement.

  • Manage recruitment, onboarding, and training for retail staff.

  • Provide regular feedback and performance management to build capability and career growth.

Customer Experience & In-Store Opportunities:

  • Foster a customer-first culture focused on delivering exceptional service.

  • Maximize appointment slots and explore extended trading hours to increase productivity.

  • Collaborate with team leaders to implement strategies that enhance in-store performance.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams and other retail leaders to share best practices.

  • Build strong relationships with allied health professionals (GPs, sleep specialists) to support customer care.

What We’re Looking For

  • Skilled in building and developing high-performing teams.

  • Strong operational focus with a track record in process improvement.

  • Sales-driven mindset with expertise in KPIs and performance metrics.

  • Quick learner with the ability to grasp clinical concepts.

  • Highly adaptable and ready to embrace change in a fast-growing business.

  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Hands-on leader, present in-store, and willing to travel regularly across New Zealand.

  • Tech-savvy with proficiency in retail systems.

  • Healthcare experience is a plus, but not essential.
