We’re looking for a Retail Activity Partner to join our Central Operations team on a parental leave contract. This is a unique opportunity to step into a newly evolved role and help shape how we partner across the business to deliver activity into our stores in a way that is strategic, sequenced and operationally viable.
The Role
The Retail Activity Partner acts as the critical interface between Central Operations and the broader business, partnering with teams across Merchandise, Brands & Buying, VM, Marketing & Events, Property and New Concepts to land initiatives successfully in retail.
This role balances commercial ambition with operational reality. You will provide guidance and governance across activity planning, ensuring initiatives are well sequenced, clearly communicated and aligned to store capacity.
A key focus is facilitating the Retail Activity & Capacity Planning process to ensure marketing campaigns, events and trade initiatives are distilled into executable, well-paced store activity. You’ll also play an operational lead role for major events and partnerships ensuring activity is feasible, well-supported and delivered seamlessly by our Team Members.
What You’ll Be Doing
Activity Planning & Governance
Support and input into the Retail Activity Calendar, ensuring clarity of accountability and timely escalation of risks or overlaps
Partner with stakeholders to provide operational guidance on initiatives, ensuring activities are realistic, appropriately sequenced and aligned to store capacity
Strengthen capacity planning processes, including capturing inputs and improving governance rhythms
Develop and maintain store activity mapping documentation for key store roles
Partnering & Advisory
Act as a trusted planning partner to central teams, challenging assumptions and advocating for store feasibility and experience
Build strong partnerships across Trade, VM, Range & Space, Brands & Buying and Operations to land activity effectively
Educate Support Centre teams on store rhythms, workload drivers and operational constraints
Delivery Support & Execution
Support holiday readiness planning and post-implementation reviews
Partner on price change planning to ensure timing, comms and operational impacts are well managed
Support trade events and activations, VM changeovers, space resets and merch rollouts
Contribute to store impact assessments, identifying risks, dependencies and mitigation actions
Provide support on store comms and task management (JIRA), in partnership with Retail Comms
Continuous Improvement
Identify opportunities to improve planning tools, governance and ways of working
Contribute to retrospectives and PIRs to strengthen future delivery
Help reduce noise, duplication and unplanned workload for stores
What You’ll Bring
Strong operational understanding and retail operations knowledge and a clear understanding of store workload drivers and frontline retail environments.
Experience in retail operations, frontline retail, activity planning, change execution, project delivery or advisory roles
The ability to manage multiple workstreams, timelines and dependencies with autonomy
A confident, solutions-focused approach to stakeholder engagement and prioritisation discussions
Strong written and verbal communication skills
A proactive mindset with a passion for improving processes and ways of working
This role would suit an experienced Store Manager or Senior Operations Manager ready to step into the Central Operations Team or a retail operations professional with strong frontline understanding and a passion for planning and governance.
